AATB has switched our grub preventer and Late Spring weed control to products that have achieved the coveted EPA Reduced Risk status designation.
We continue to incorporate slow-release fertilizer that is phosphorous-free to protect our groundwater, lakes, ponds, and streams.
As part of an integrated pest management plan, we utilize the latest technology to ensure that the lowest rate of active ingredient is applied to yield superior results.
When AATB makes a granular application, we take the extra time and use a leaf blower to blow excess material off of hard surfaces and back onto the lawn, thus minimizing the chance of these materials washing into the storm sewers or getting tracked into your home.

The goal of the EPA’s reduced risk program is to register viable lawn care, golf course, and agriculture products that set the standard for safety in protecting people, pets, and the environment. All American Turf Beauty is making a substantial investment in these products — because we believe it is the right thing to do.

The product for our Late Spring and Summer weed control was developed by a researcher who noticed that one of the shrubs in his yard never had any weeds growing under it. The natural compound that he discovered was copied to create an EPA reduced risk weed control product. Studies have concluded that this product is virtually non-toxic. We have tested this product and found that it provided superior results with reduced callbacks.
